| Info | Local businessman, community volunteer, and former RCMP officer, Bush Dumville is proud to be part of Robert Ghiz’s new Liberal Team that will introduce tax fairness and accountability. He also wants to bring a more innovative approach to the primary industries, agriculture, fisheries and tourism, to help stem the tide of young Islanders leaving for other provinces in search of more opportunity.
Bush joined the RCMP in 1967 and served with postings in Newfoundland, New Brunswick and Ontario. He opened the Charlottetown Burger King in 1979 and the Summerside Burger King in 1986. He still owns and operates both restaurants.
Bush has served his community for over 30 years, is past president of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown and has served as a director of the Charlottetown Chamber of Commerce. He has also led charity campaigns for the United Way and Big Brothers – Big Sisters of Prince Edward Island. He has played an active role at Spring Park United Church and is past grand master of the PEI Masonic Order. Bush is also member of the Island Shrine Club and Philae Temple, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
Bush and his wife Sylvia live in Upton Park. The have two daughters, Tara & Moya and two granddaughters, Sophia & Chloe.
