| Info | Edna DeVries was elected Mayor of the Mat-Su Borough in November 2021. Mayor DeVries previously served as a City of Palmer Council Member and City of Palmer Mayor for over five years. She is a former Mat-Su Borough Assembly member, former Mat-Su Borough Mayor and former Alaska State Senator. Mayor DeVries moved to Palmer 1969 and since that time she has been an active member of many state and local boards and commissions. She has served in leadership positions for many organizations in the Palmer and Mat-Su Borough area. Mayor DeVries and her husband Noel have four children, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She attends King’s Chapel in Wasilla.
