InfoJune Draude was raised on a family farm east of Spalding and took her schooling there as well. In 1967, she married Martin Draude and raised their five children on the family farm until 1980. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Spalding Hospital and assistant to the R.M. secretary in Spalding. She worked for 24 years as secretary/treasurer for six Conservation and Development Area Authorities.

In 1980 June and her husband incorporated a company involved in manufacturing pig equipment. June also became involved in the development and operation of Westland Rec-Creation Concepts Inc., becoming its general manager until her election as MLA in 1995.

June is committed to community and the province. She was President of Spalding Legion and Watson Chamber of Commerce; Director of Watson Economic Development Committee and Watson Economic Diversification Co-operative; and vice-chairperson of Sask Research Council. June was one of the founding members of a bed and breakfast, Rosebush Acres.

June was first elected as Liberal MLA of the Kelvington-Wadena constituency on June 21, 1995. In August of 1997, she and three of her Liberal colleagues joined with the four sitting Conservatives to form the Saskatchewan Party. She has returned as a Sask Party MLA for the Kelvington-Wadena constituency in the past two elections.

June is currently the Critic for First Nations and Métis Relations and Culture, Youth and Recreation, and Deputy Critic for Provincial Secretary. June is also Vice-Chair of the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs and Infrastructure. She has served as the Deputy House Leader, Deputy Critic for Learning (K-12), and as a member of the Standing Committee on House Services.
