InfoDave Siebert started serving on the Phoenix City Council in January 1996 and was elected to a third four-year term, which started in January 2004. For the past 10 years, Councilman Siebert has represented Council District 1, which includes most of northwest Phoenix.

Siebert is chairperson of the Phoenix City Council Public Safety and Technology Subcommittee and also is a member of the Land Use, Environment and Natural Resources, and Transportation, Parks and Seniors subcommittees.

During his tenure as a city councilman, Siebert, 46, has focused his efforts on crime prevention, neighborhood stabilization, managed growth and economic development opportunities in northwest Phoenix and citywide. This year, extra emphasis will be on balancing the budget while keeping public safety a top priority.

Siebert has served as vice-chairman of the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Board, as a Justice Court hearing officer and as chairman of the Deer Valley Village Planning Committee.

Siebert graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. A fourth-generation Arizonan, born and raised in the northwest Valley, he resides in District 1's Deer Valley Village with his wife Kim and their son Matthew.
