| Info | Gail Chase was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, came to Maine to attend Colby College, and stayed. She has participated in the business and cultural life of central Maine by being one of the founders of Railroad Square Cinema, Shadow Distribution and the Maine International Film Festival. She has participated in government by serving as a State Representative for four years (1992-1996 from China), and as Maine’s State Auditor for eight years. She presently serves on the Legislature’s Community Preservation Advisory Committee. She continues to participate in community activities as a member of the Vibrant Community Project in Unity, and as the Vice-Chair of the Unity Barn Raisers, a community and economic development organization that serves western Waldo County.
She lives in Unity with her husband, Stevan Gressitt, and an odd assortment of domestic and barnyard animals
