| Info | Steven J. "Steve" Hilgenberg
Hilgenberg served seven years on the Dodgeville School Board and was stationed in Germany during three years in the U.S. Army. In 1973, he became an owner of Inkwell Printers after receiving a diploma in graphic arts and printing from Madison Area Technical College.
A bowler for fun, he was a community representative to the Head Start Policy Council for three years, a volunteer coach for the Dodgeville High School softball team for 10 years, and a basketball referee for more than 20 years.
Hilgenberg first won election to the Assembly in 2006. In 2007, he began treatment for prostate cancer while continuing to serve. He was re-elected in 2008 but declined to run in 2010.
