After receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China, Wendy Yuan arrived in Canada in 1984 to further pursue her education at Concordia University in Montreal. She earned a diploma in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) from Concordia University in 1985. She continued her study in the United States and was granted a Masters degree in International Management from Bradley University of Illinois, USA in 1987.

With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, she used her personal savings and co-founded a small computer hardware distributorship in Montreal in 1988. In four short years, Wendy worked to realize a multi-million dollar volume in sales and a market network that served Quebec and Ontario. Today Wendy is President and CEO of Bradley Pacific Enterprise. Under her leadership, Bradley Pacific has become a multi-disciplined company with a strong focus on Asia Pacific emerging countries.

Her entrepreneurship and business success has been recognized by the local business peers. In 2003, Wendy was nominated for the Best Young Entrepreneur Award by “Business in Vancouver” magazine and Bradley Pacific was nominated for BC Export Award in 2005 as one of BC’s top 21 export companies.

Wendy has always shown a deep appreciation of Canadian multicultural society by committing herself to helping build an equal and just society for everyone. Wendy has a distinguished record of community involvement. Her broad range of senior volunteer leadership roles mainly focus on immigrant settlement, education and economic development. Currently she is sitting on a number of non-profit organization boards, such as S.U.C.C.E.S.S Foundation, Richmond Economic Advisory Committee, Chinese Advisory Committee, Canadian Red Cross LMR, Community Advisory Council, Simon Fraser University (Surrey Campus) to note just a few. She has received numerous awards for her dedication and contribution to various community groups.

Wendy Yuan is also an activist within the Liberal Party of Canada in British Columbia. She was appointed as Leader's Representative to Liberal Party of Canada (BC) by Paul Martin in 2004. She has held a number of positions in the party such as the co-chair of former Federal Health Minister Ujjal Dosanhj's Federal Election Campaign in 2004; Communication Co-Chair, Chinese media, 2003 Paul Martin leadership campaign; fundraising Co-Chair of LPCBC for 2004 Federal Election; and Member of 2005 BC fundraising Committee (led by Mr. Jim Pattison) for then Prime Minister, Paul Martin.

Wendy is married to her husband, Kan and they have one seventeen-year-old son, Sunny who is in grade eleven of high school and has a love for basketball.
