Info | The Lamberti family has lived in Iowa for three generations. Jeff's grandfather immigrated from Italy in the early 1900's.
Growing up in Ankeny, Jeff Lamberti’s parents taught him the Iowa values of faith in God, love for family, personal discipline, a strong work ethic, and excellence in all things.
He and his wife Shannon are passing these values on to their own two wonderful children and attend Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Church in Ankeny.
An avid outsdoorman, Jeff is a member of the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited.
A graduate of Ankeny High School, Jeff attended Drake University in Des Moines, receiving his undergraduate, master of business administration, and law degrees.
As a small business owner, Jeff is a member of the Iowa and Polk County Bar Associations, Valley Bank Metro Board, Ankeny Area and Polk City Chambers of Commerce, and the Knights of Columbus.
Jeff is committed to giving back to a community that has provided him with so much. He currently serves on the Board of the On With Life, Inc., which works to enhance the life of those with brain injuries and other life-altering conditions.
He also has been involved as a board member with the Ankeny Community School District Foundation, Ankeny Area Historical Society, the Youth
Emergency Services & Shelter, Polk County Health Services, Inc., the Neveln Community Resource Center, and the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Council.
For his community service work, Jeff was named the national 2004 Outstanding Advocate by Easter Seals.
A lifelong Republican, Jeff has served two terms as a state representative and two terms as a state senator.
He is currently Co-President of the Iowa Senate. As past Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, he fought to bring fiscal discipline to the Iowa state budget. In the state house, Jeff chaired the judiciary committee and promoted laws to reform our legal system and protect the integrity of our judiciary.
A strong fiscal and social conservative, Jeff was named the 2002 Friend of the Family by the Christian Coalition of Iowa as well as the 2001 Legislator of the Year by the Iowa Catholic Conference.
