| Info | A successful businessman, restaurant owner, and former public servant, I have lived in the Kanawha Valley all of my life. I have one son, Zac, Age 13.
After graduating from George Washington High School, I joined the Marine Corps. serving two years. As a veteran of the Vietnam War, I returned to Charleston and opened several successful restaurants in the 70's, 80's and 90's.
I was elected Sheriff of Kanawha County in 1984. During my tenure as Sheriff, law enforcement was rated the best in West Virginia. An astute fiscal manager, my attention to detail saved thousands of taxpayer dollars. My hard-nosed investment policies earned hundreds of thousands of dollars for the taxpayers.
I was elected to the House of Delegates in 1988.
Today I operate a successful barbeque business serving area restaurants and grocery stores.
