| Info | MAGEE, Walter Warren, a Representative from New York; born in Groveland, Livingston County, N.Y., May 23, 1861; attended the common schools and Geneseo State Normal School; was graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, N.H., in 1885 and from Harvard University in 1889; studied law; was admitted to the bar in 1891 and commenced practice in Syracuse, N.Y.; served as a member of the board of supervisors of Onondaga County in 1892 and 1893; corporation counsel of Syracuse 1904-1914; elected as a Republican to the Sixty-fourth and to the six succeeding Congresses and served from March 4, 1915, until his death in Syracuse, N.Y., May 25, 1927; interment in Oakwood Cemetery.
