| Info | Monroe is a lawyer and real estate developer who headed the oversight board of the Resolution Trust Corp. from 1990 to 1993 which dealt with the collapse of the federally insured savings and loan industry in the late 1980s.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Williams College, Monroe received a masters degree at Oxford University and his law degree from Harvard in 1970. He spent most of the next decade in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, rising to the level of general deputy commissioner of the Federal Housing Administration.
He has been president of three land development companies and is currently a partner and vice president of the Paradise Development Group.
Monroe is married and has two sons, ages 19 and 21.
