Info | Timothy Hice is a native ofLimestone County. His descendants have lived there for more than 100 years.
In 1977, Hice was injured during practice with the Elkmont High School football team. Hice suffered a severe spinal injury that left him unable to walk, and with very limited hand motion. Hice says he is blessed to be alive because he had actually broken his neck twice.
Hice graduated with his high school class in 1979, and attended Calhoun Community College and also studied with a computer scientist in Birmingham. Hice graduated from Athens State College in 1990 while working 40-hour weeks and attending school at nights and on weekends.
Hice worked at McCormack and Dodge, a subsidiary of The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, a Human Resource Management System for the Fortune 500. He also worked for Boeing with the Marshall Space Flight Center Personnel Office.
Hice was the liaison between Marshall’s EEOC office and the Department of Justice, implementing the Americans Disability Act for MSFC. He has worked with organizations wanting to do business with the State of Alabama and the Federal Government.
Hice has worked behind the scenes on several state and local elections for more than 12 years. He has worked with summer programs assisting local youth with coping skills, and has taught youth Bible classes.
