"I was born Edwin Pashinski to my parents Edwin, a united mine worker and a 20 year Navy Veteran, and Isabelle, a homemaker and an employee of RCA MountainTop.
My wife, the former Millie Ritza, and I have been married for 38 years. Millie is a life long resident of Wilkes-Barre and daughter of Tony and Irene Ritza. Tony and his brother Joe operated the"famous" Ritz Bros. Barber Shop in the Newtown section of Ashley. Millie's Mom continues to reside in the Heights section of the city.
Millie and I have four great children, six wonderful grand children with one more on the way! We have lived in our home in the Heights for 37 years, while enjoying the conveniences of city living.
I am a graduate of Wilkes University with a B.S. in Music Education and a Masters Equivalency from Penn State. During my freshman year at Wilkes I was introduced to the members of the Starfires, A local rock band from the Back Mountain. I auditioned and began my career in the music business as a Starfire. The income from the band helped subsidize my College tuition and later became an essential part of supporting my family. My music career continued for nearly twenty years enhancing my role as a music teacher and choral director at GNA. Over the years the band made several name and personnel changes adapting to the ever changing styles of music. Eddie Day and the Night Timers and The Eddie Day Group. Finally, Eddie Day and TNT culminated the evolution of the group ending with seven 45's and a very memorable regional career.
For 10 years there after, I managed several rock groups and helped local musicians organize their own bands. Thirty years of business experience as a small business man booking all performances, organizing rehearsal dates and times, and managing the revenues responsible for payroll and operation expenses while motivating the members of the band and crew."
