InfoRep. Wayne Cooper, a Republican, represents parts of Camden, Miller and Morgan counties (District 155) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to the House in November 2002.

In addition to his legislative duties Rep. Cooper is a physician. He has been in general practice since 1987 and worked in emergency medicine as an ER physician from 1980-86 in Lake of the Ozarks. He served as chief of staff for Lake Regional Hospital from 1991-93. Rep. Cooper worked as a staff member for Campus Crusade for Christ in the Philippines at the Village Health Worker Training Center from 1977-80, and served as associate staff and medical director of New Tribes Mission from 1980-84.

A member of Graceland Nondenominational Church, Rep. Cooper is also president of Graceland Ministries, Inc. He is on the board of directors for Mid-Missouri AHEC (Area Health Education Center), vice president of Camden County Republican Club and a member of Camdenton Area Chamber of Commerce.

A 1967 graduate of McCreary County High School in Ky., Rep. Cooper received a bachelor�s degree from the University of Kentucky in 1971 and his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1975.

Born February 27, 1949, in Somerset, Ky., Rep. Cooper resides in Camdenton with his wife, Christine. They have two sons: Todd and Tim.
