I worked as farm labor, a service station attendant, a mechanic and a dishwasher before being hired at Skoby’s World in Kingsport by Pal Barger. After seven years of learning all aspects of the restaurant, I began a career of self-employment. My restaurant, Dixie Barbeque Company, has operated successfully for 17 years.
I graduated from Happy Valley High School in 1967. I graduated from Steed College in 1973 with a degree in Business Management.
