InfoMarcos A. Devers is currently a Lawrence City Councilor. In 2005, he was a candidate to become Lawrence's first-ever Latino mayor, but lost in a landslide to incumbent mayor Michael J. Sullivan. Interestingly, Lawrence is a predominantly Hispanic city, but Devers was not able to win even in the most Hispanic-heavy areas of the city.
