Info | An island native, Andrew was born the twenty second of January, 1984, and has lived in Charlottetown for the majority of his life. After following political news from the tender age of 12, Andrew learned quickly what kind of government he wanted to see in power and formulated his own views and ideals of what a government should be. Although intitally a Liberal supporter, Andrew changed his views after some questionable frivolities. Merely four years after developing a political appetite, Andrew started to go public with his political views and opinions by writing letters to The Guardian pushing for public and government interest in a capital transit system. In an odd twist, at the same time as his political views flourished, Andrew hit a brick wall in school due to a lack of system educated knowledge therefore causing him to drop out. Overcoming the stereotype of being a "high school drop-out", Andrew self-educated himself for five years and successfully passed the GED test in June of 2005.
A short glance into Andrew's life would clearly show where some of his core beliefs come from. Andrew believes that the government needs diversity. Canada is lucky to be considered a "mosaic society", a society which embraces and accepts the diversity of the people in it, and Andrew deems that it is about time that the government to start reflecting that diversity in its members. Along with this diversity, Andrew feels that voting for a large party is the wrong way to elect a representative. When voting on policy, it appears that the voice of the constituent is overpowered by the voice of colleagues. It is this reason that Andrew has joined a smaller party, and is an official member of the Marijuana Party of Canada. He will be running in the Charlottetown riding, a riding of 32,000 people who surely don't want to be lost in a crowd.
