| Info | Brad Farquhar studied Political Science at Carleton University and holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Providence College. He is a recipient of the Governor General’s Bronze Medal for academic achievement and has completed courses at Mount Royal College to become a Certified Financial Planner. Earlier this year, Mr. Farquhar completed a Master of Public Administration degree in Electoral Governance from Griffith University, Australia, in conjunction with studies at the University of Regina.
Mr. Farquhar possesses extensive political experience. He has served as the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Party and as the Executive Assistant to the Leader of the Opposition in Saskatchewan. He was also the Manager of Communications for the Reform Party of Canada, the Technology Strategist & Project Manager for the Reform Party of Canada, and the Special Assistant to the House Leader of the Third Party in the House of Commons. His accomplishments include the launching of the first web site for a Canadian political party in 1994.
By the age of 20, Mr. Farquhar had travelled to 35 countries on four continents, and has lived in Europe and the Caribbean. Over the past year, Brad has been working on the development of a to-be-named non-partisan organization of Canadian democrats dedicated to the global advancement of democratic principles, ideals, and institutions. Mr. Farquhar recently returned from a 3 ½ month project in Tajikistan, where he worked with all the political parties on democracy development and campaign techniques.
Brad Farquhar currently works as an independent business and public affairs consultant.
Born in Toronto, Brad and his wife Lynette, who was born in Saskatchewan, have lived and worked in Regina for over eight years. They have three children, ages 8, 6 and 4.
