InfoRep. James T. Seigfreid, a Democrat, represents parts of Lafayette and Saline counties (District 26) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Seigfreid is the owner of Jim's IGA grocery store in Marshall. He also served in the U.S. Navy.

He is a former member of the Marshall School Board, and a member of the Saline County unit of the American Cancer Society, the State Corn Husking Committee, and the Optimist Club. Additionally, he is the past president of the Marshall Chamber of Commerce. Rep. Seigfreid attends the First Christian Church, where he is a board member.

A 1963 graduate of Warrensburg High School, Rep. Seigfreid received a bachelor of science in business administration in 1972 from Central Missouri State University.

Born September 22, 1945, in Warrensburg, Rep. Seigfreid currently resides in Marshall with his wife, Nancy Ann. They have two children, Travis and Matt.
