| Info | Joanne was elected as the London Assembly Member for Enfield and Haringey in June 2004.
She currently Chairs the London Assembly’s Police & Committee and sits on the Budget & Performance Committee.
Joanne has previously served as Chair of the London Assembly’s Health and Public Services Committee and led investigations into a number of issues which are important to Londoners including: the decline of London’s public toilets; breast cancer screening; the future of the Post Office network, and access to mental health services.
Before being elected to the London Assembly, Joanne served as a local councillor in Enfield from 1998-2006. During this time she served as Chair of Enfield’s Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership and as a Director of Millfield House & Theatre. She practiced as a barrister, specialising in employment law and also worked as an adjudicator for the Housing Ombudsman dealing with disputes between landlords and tenants.
Joanne has three children and is Chair of Governors at her local primary school.
