Info | Michael Meunier is a leading businessman and human rights advocate who regularly works with Fortune 500 Corporations and leading government policy makers.
Mike has spent most of his adult life advocating for the causes of democracy, human rights and religious freedom around the world. He was born in Egypt in 1968 where he was instilled at a young age with a strong work ethic and a strong belief in God. Growing up a Christian in an Islamic State, Mike yearned for a better life free from religious oppression so he immigrated to the United States of America in 1990.
Mike learned the English language in two years while working full time as a laborer. He went on to receive a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1994, where he was nominated for the Outstanding Student Leader Award.
Mike Meunier currently is the CEO of an Information Technology Consulting firm. Prior to founding his own firm, Michael worked for two of the top-consulting firms in the world, Price Waterhouse LLP and Deloitte and Touche Consulting Group.
Meunier is also an expert on issues related to spreading democracy, human rights and religious freedom. Because of his expertise, Michael frequently provides valuable insight and policy analysis to various Members of Congress (including Congressman Frank Wolf) and serves as a Senior Fellow with the Institute on Religion and Public Policy in Washington DC.
In 2003, Michael founded the Center for Freedom in the Middle East to serve as a home for a Coalition of political and advocacy groups, individuals and scholars from the Middle East striving to promote and uphold the pillars of Judeo-Christian values including democracy, religious freedom, civil liberties and human rights.
Michael is a Board Member of the Middle Eastern Satellite TV station Tele-Lumiere/Noursat International, a channel dedicated to bringing together Christians of the Middle East and the West and broadcasts all over the Middle East and airs over Dish Network in the U.S.
Having grown up a Christian in Egypt Mike is dedicated to the plight of the Copts, the Christians of Egypt. This passion inspired him to found the U.S. Copts Association in 1996 as well as its Middle Eastern Daily Digest (known as the Coptic Digest), which is distributed in hardcopy and via email to thousands of members worldwide. He is currently the President of the U.S. Copts Association.
Most recently, Michael served on the Republican National Committee Catholic Outreach Advisory Committee during the 2004 Presidential election.
Michael has appeared on many syndicated TV and Radio programs to provide expert opinion on fundamentalism in the Middle East, including appearances on CNN, C-SPAN, BBC ABC, C-SPAN, EWTN, Fox News, Radio France International's English service, Jennet Parshal America, Israel National Radio, and The Michael Reagan Show. He is also quoted frequently and published in many of the world's newspapers and online magazines, such as The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Egypt Today, Le Monde, FrontPage Magazine.com and many others.
