InfoStanley Christmas has had a life filled with community activism and unrelenting support for the city. He was born on April 24, 1949 on the eastside of Detroit. He attended schools in the Detroit Public School System and received his diploma from Southeastern High School. The product of a strict upbringing, he was the first of his family to complete his college education, graduating from Wayne State University in 1982 with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.

Dissatisfied with often biases toward the poor and disenfranchised economic classes, Christmas has dedicated his life to demanding that the constitution rights for all American be protected and enforced. He also championed the initiative to make high school graduation requirements for all Detroiters mandatory.

At an early age, Christmas realized that education was one of the most important factors that could define a person's socioeconomic status. Because of this realism, he urged many politicians and education leaders to enact educational policy that encouraged students to "Complete to Compete."

Christmas is also a devoted father an advocate for the Michigan foster care system having adopted 3 boys of his own to join his close-knit family of four daughters, one son and 5 grandchildren.

In October 2008, Christmas decided to officially announce that he was going to run as a Candidate for Public Office for the City of Detroit. He is running on the platform of reforming education policy, cleaning up deteriorating neighborhoods and restoring voter's confidence in their elected officials.
