DescriptionRet. Army Colonel Marcus Jones launched the first advertisement of his recently announced congressional campaign for Arkansas’s Second District. In addition to the release of the introductory campaign video entitled Brave, the campaign will also make its first digital media purchase in the coming days with a budget lasting through the end of the fourth quarter.

“Americans should be better to each other. And we should trust our Congressmen to face big challenges. You face challenges every day, and Arkansans aren’t looking for a token of gratitude. We’re looking for a fair shot at opportunity. Fair wages. Good schools. Health care that doesn’t kill you financially. A system that doesn’t knock you down every time you get a little bit ahead. And Congress can either build that world ... or blow it up. A strong nation protects women’s rights. Our lawmakers aren’t preachers or demagogues. They should be problem solvers.”

Marcus Jones, Army Colonel (Retired) completed 29 years of active military service on September 30, 2023. Jones retired before completing his 30th year in the Army, so he could continue his public service by running for U.S. Congress in Arkansas’s Second District. Jones is challenging a 10-year incumbent in the state’s most competitive district, which has routinely been identified by the DCCC as “Red to Blue” and hosts two large military bases.
