Ron Barber is a Democrat running for Congress in the special election for Arizona's 8th district. He has lived and worked in Southern Arizona for fifty years, having directed Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords' district offices, run the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities and owned and operated a family business for 22 years with his wife Nancy. Barber is running to protect the middle class at a time when families have seen their standards of living decline. Barber has made specific pledges to protect Medicare, Social Security and veterans' benefits, and promised to support members of the military and their families.
