Description |
The 2d Constitution Party National Convention assembled in Ft. Worth TX. There were 75 delegates present from 17 states. One of those present, Kent Courtney, urged the delegates to seek a broader far-right coalition for the election. As a result, the convention provisionally nominated T. Coleman Andrews for President and Thomas H. Werdel for Vice-President. The nominees were given time to consider their bids while Courtney organized a second and better-attended convention.
