The second Socialist Party National Convention assembled in Brand's Hall in Chicago IL. There were 219 delegates present. Eugene V. Debs was nominated for President on the first ballot as seen below. Benjamin Hanford NY was nominated for VP on the first ballot with 106 votes; other candidates included Seymour Stedman 42, May W. Simons 20, John W. Slayton PA 15, and two scattering.
