Description | Michael Carter, the controversial Wentzville municipal judge who filed weeks ago to seek a second term, widened his political ken Tuesday.
He signed up to run at the same time for the municipal judgeship in St. Peters, the city in which he lives. Both positions are parttime. The filing deadline was 5 p.m. Tuesday for the April 5 election.
Carter is fighting charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding following a traffic stop by a state highway patrolman in St. Peters in December of 2009.
He also has clashed with Wentzville Mayor Paul Lambi over court operations in that city. |
