| Description | He was at the center of the biggest political scandal in recent Spokane history but on Tuesday night former Spokane Mayor Jim West was in a bigger fight for his life.
Jim West has been fighting cancer since before he was elected mayor, but the condition he's facing now could be his most serious health crisis yet. He traveled to Seattle for more cancer surgery and was hit with complications in his kidneys.
West is listed in serious but stable condition at University of Washington Medical Center. He is acutely ill, his vital signs are unstable and according to sources he is in a drug-induced coma. Both his pastor from Spokane and his father have traveled to be with him. |
