| Description | Four Democrats accused Republican Senate candidate Elizabeth Dole of violating campaign finance law by being the subject of a cover story in a Wal-Mart newsletter sent to 200,000 North Carolina homes.
The four, describing themselves as North Carolina voters and Wal-Mart customers, said they want Dole to repay Wal-Mart Stores Inc. for the cost of mailing 7 million copies of a customer newsletter. They pinned the cost at between $2 million and $2.5 million. |
