InfoRep. May Scheve, a Democrat, represents part of South St. Louis County (District 98) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

Rep. Scheve currently serves as the majority caucus secretary in the House and is the former president and charter member of the Women Legislators of Missouri. In addition, she is a board member of the Affton Chamber of Commerce; of the Nurses for Newborns; of WAC Industries Sheltered Workshop; and of Saint Louis University School of Arts and Science. In addition, Rep. Scheve is a committeewoman in the Gravois Democratic Club.

Rep. Scheve's major legislative accomplishments include: campaign finance reform, motor voter registration, combat infantryman badge license plates, centralized voter registration and the reinstatement of the St. Louis County Boundary Commission.

A recipient of the 1992 Woman of Worth Award from the Older Women's League, Rep. Scheve was also honored in 1993 with the Missouri Association of Counties' Legislative Award and the Animal Protection Association's Legislator of the Year Award.

Rep. Scheve received a bachelor of arts degree from Saint Louis University and a master of arts degree from Webster University. Prior to her election to the House, Rep. Scheve was the office manager/scheduler and press aide for Mel Carnahan in his successful bid for Lieutenant Governor in 1988. Prior to this, she served as coordinator of volunteers for the state of Missouri during the Dick Gephardt for President Campaign.

Born June 27, 1964, in St. Louis, Rep. Scheve resides in Affton with her husband Daniel Patrick Reardon III.
