| Info | Raised in Montgomery, Hampton has remained true to his roots. Having seven children in a city with a failing school system, Hampton’s mother took on the challenge of homeschooling Hampton and his siblings.Through his experience being homeschooled, Hampton’s education was founded on Christian and Constitutional values.
Hampton also learned early on that nothing worth doing ever came easy. From the time he learned to walk, Hampton began working on his family’s farm where they grew crops and preserved wildlife through conservation. Through this experience, Hampton developed an understanding of the challenges facing Alabama’s farmers and landowners.
In 2018, Hampton graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with a major in Economics and a minor in Biology. Hampton served as the Class Marshal for the Department of Economics at AUM and graduated magna cum laude.
Following graduation from college, Hampton worked in the emergency department at Baptist Health in Montgomery where he witnessed firsthand the looming opioid crisis in Alabama and the healthcare issues facing the district.
The grandson of a Vietnam veteran and a retired Air Force Colonel, Hampton has always had the values of service and integrity instilled in him. In 2020, Hampton decided to attend law school to carry out his commitment to service. Hampton earned his Juris Doctorate from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in 2023. While in law school, Hampton served as the President of the Cumberland Republicans, President of the Christian Legal Society, and a class representative.
Like his mother and father, Hampton is a small business owner. In 2022, Hampton opened his own real estate brokerage and has sold over $12 million dollars of real estate since. With his main office located in District 2, Hampton has a firsthand understanding of the challenges that small business owners in the district face. Most importantly, Hampton understands the crippling effects that high taxes and inflation have on a small business owner.
Hampton is a dedicated husband to Abbigale, an attorney and member of the Armed Forces. As a military spouse, Hampton’s number one priority is to fight for Veterans and their families. While in law school, Hampton served as an advocate in the Cumberland School of Law Veterans Legal Assistance Clinic. There, he was able to work directly with veterans across the state of Alabama and witnessed the challenges facing veterans every single day.
Hampton and his wife, Abbigale, now reside in Lowndesboro.
