| Info | As a resident of Cary's downtown area, Carissa Johnson has been dedicated to enriching our community for nearly 25 years. Taking a cue from her parents to "do for others whenever you can," Carissa trained to care for her community as a Cary Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member and supports our community's children as a Guardian ad Litem. She has also tackled local leadership roles, proudly serving on Cary's Information Services Advisory Board and serving as vice chair of the Cary150 Commission. Carissa offers a unique set of educational and professional experiences that will be crucial in managing the growing needs of Cary's thriving community. After studying gerontology at Nazareth College and zoology at NC State, she worked in various professional roles that have balanced technical knowledge of IT and healthcare with marketing communication skills and business savvy.
