John grew up in Clark County, raised his kids here, and has devoted his life to public service for the past 33 years with the Clark County Sheriff's Office. John has worked in the following positions at the Sheriff's Office; Chief Enforcement Deputy, Commander for the Drug Task Force, Major Crimes, Search and Rescue, Internal Affairs Supervisor, Field Training Officer, Bomb Technician, Warrants, Sergeant, Detective, and Patrol Deputy. He has a bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
John is happily married and has four wonderful adult children. They attend New Heights Church and support many non-profits such as Young Life, Teach One to Lead One, Lunch Buddy, Clark County Food Bank, and Lifeline Connections. John enjoys running, hiking, golfing, and elk hunting during his off-time. He and his wife also love traveling to new places.
