| Info | Member of Parliament for Belfast West 1964-66, for North Down 1970-95.
A member of the Ulster Unionist Party until 1977, and then an Independent Unionist from 1977 until 1980 when he founded his own Ulster Popular Unionist Party. Kilfedder took the Conservative whip at Westminster and was alleged to maintain discreet links with Loyalist paramilitaries. He died suddenly of a heart attack on the same day as the Belfast Telegraph ran a front page story saying that an Ulster MP was to be outed by an LGBT rights organisation.
