| Info | Community leader and cancer survivor Kelly Mazeski announced that she will run for Congress from Illinois’ 6th Congressional District, the seat held by Republican Peter Roskam.
As a 57 year-old mother who once lost her health insurance, survived breast cancer and paid for coverage of a daughter with a rare medical condition, Kelly believes it's time the people of Illinois’ 6th District hold Peter Roskam accountable for voting to make Americans pay more and get less for their health care.
Mazeski earned a B.S. from St. Mary's College Notre Dame, Indiana. A former financial advisor, stay-at-home mom, and community leader from Barrington Hills, Mazeski serves as Plan Commissioner for Barrington Hills, and served as Village Trustee of North Barrington and Vice Chairman and Member of Zoning Board of Appeals North Barrington where she advocated for families and small businesses.
