InfoTom Crymes (45) was born in Columbus, Georgia, the son of an Oral Surgeon and an Elementary School Teacher. He graduated from The Brookstone School in Columbus and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction from Georgia Tech. While at Tech, he played four years of football as a walk-on.

Tom’s 1st job out of school was working for Hardin Construction working on a variety of commercial projects. He went on to work as a project manager for New South Construction until he started his own business, Tomco Construction in Feb of 1997. His commercial construction company has worked on projects all over Georgia and has managed to keep the lights on despite the difficult economy.

Tom married his high school sweet heart, Laura in 1992. They bought their 1st house, and current residence, in 1994 in the Cannongate subdivision in northern Coweta County. Laura currently works as a Pre-K Teacher at Northside Elementary School

Tom and Laura have 3 children that all attend The Heritage School in Newnan- Tate 15, Madison 14 & Thomas 11. The Crymes are members at the 1st United Methodist Church in Newnan.

While Tom has never sought elected office before, he has extensive community service and local leadership experience: Volunteer Fireman from 1994-2005, Board Member at Heritage School, Board member of the Coweta County Chamber of Commerce, past member of Coweta County Zoning Appeals Board, past member of the Canongate Homeowners Association, and past Sunday School Teacher at Newnan 1st United Methodist Church.
