Prior to first being elected Councilwoman in 2015, Gustin served for 16 years on the Naperville Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals, including as Planning and Zoning Commission chairwoman. An experienced real estate broker and Naperville businesswoman, she previously served the Federal government at the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare; the Chicago U.S. Attorney’s Office Department of Justice Criminal Division; and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), where she met her husband. They have three children – an engineer, attorney and teacher that are all graduates of Naperville schools – and two grandchildren. Gustin graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Organization and Management and Roosevelt University with a degree in Paralegal Studies.
