| Info | Scott McDonell was first elected to the Dane County Board of Supervisors in April 1996 and became County Board Chairman in 2005. In addition to being Chairman of the Board, Scott serves as Chairman of the Executive Committee, Co-Chair of the Transport 2020 Committee (a joint city/state/county long-range transportation planning committee), and is on the Board of Directors of the Alliant Energy Center and the Greater Madison Convention and Visitors Bureau. From 2004 to 2006 Scott also served on the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center and the Dane County Regional Airport Commission.
Education & Background
Scott graduated in 1996 with a BA in political science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he played varsity soccer. Scott and his wife, Megin have two daughters, Eleanor (5/4/2005) and Annie (4/1/2007). Scott has also worked for the past 10 years as a policy analyst at the state Department of Administration, Division of Enterprise Technology.
