InfoPat O'Brien took over the Pulaski Circuit/County Clerk's office on January 1, 2005. He was elected on November 2, 2004 with 72% of the vote. He ran for office with the pledge to clean up the voter rolls in Pulaski County and make the county a model for conducting elections in the State of Arkansas.

Pat O'Brien is a native of Jacksonville, Arkansas and graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1988. He attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. He continued at the U of A and received his law degree in 1995.

From 1995 to 2000, Pat had a general law practice with the firm of Bond & O'Brien in Jacksonville. In 2000, he became Director of Operations for a family business comprised of seven McDonald's restaurants in North Pulaski County. In 2003, he became Chief of Staff for the 22nd Judicial District Office of Prosecuting Attorney in Benton, Arkansas. Pat also served on the Pulaski County Special School District Board from 1999 to 2003.

Pat still lives in Jacksonville. He is currently a member of the Jacksonville Rotary Club and the Little Rock Air Force Base Community Council. He is a past member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is the past president of Downtown Jacksonville, Inc.
