| Info | Rhead A. Story was born in Fredrick, Oklahoma where is father James “Dave” Story, was a publisher and a columnist and his mother, Ellen, a housewife, raised both Rhead and his older brother James “Jamie” D. Jr.
Rhead’s parents separated when he was seven years old. Rhead was raised extensively by his mother. Rhead’s mother worked hard to provide for the family and made sure they were in church on Sundays. They were members of the First Baptist Church of Guymon, Oklahoma.
While in high school in Guymon, Rhead excelled at both speech and debate. After graduation, Rhead went directly into the workforce.
Rhead was working as an Assistant Manager at the local McDonalds, when he met Wanda Morley, a native of Lovington, New Mexico. Having hit it off right away, they began dating. Wanda would become his wife two years later. Rhead and Wanda have been married for 12 years. They have two children Tristan 10 and Nicholas 8.
When the economy in Guymon took a turn for the worse, Rhead brought his wife and family to Albuquerque. Rhead’s mother went through a series of illnesses including a heart attack and stroke, so Rhead moved back to Oklahoma briefly to take care of her. He convinced his mother that, due to health concerns, she should move in with him and his family in Albuquerque.
Rhead currently works for Verizon Wireless as a Wireless Data Technical Support Coordinator. Wanda is an Assistant Manager for Circle K convenience stores. Tristan attends Bellhaven Elementary School. Nicholas currently attends Mark Twain Elementary.
Rhead serves on the Bernalillo County Republican Party Central Committee and is a member of the Jerry Kline Neighborhood Association. In his spare time, Rhead likes to play billiards and participates in the local Route 66 pool league.
