InfoAt age 21, Corey would be elected to serve as President of the Student Body at Penn State University and he would testify before the State Education Committee on affordability of higher education. At age 22, he would become a White House intern and later serve in the Clinton Administration’s US Agency for International Development.

After serving in the Clinton Administration, O’Brien attended law school and finished in the top of his class. After 10 years in Washington, DC serving as a political advisor and lawyer in two prominent Washington law firms, Corey would return with his family to his roots in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

After being back in Pennsylvania for only four months, Corey would launch what would soon become must see TV in Northeastern Pennsylvania. As the executive producer and host of The Pulse with Corey O’Brien, O’Brien successfully launched the first NEPA Sunday morning regional television program holding prominent national and regional newsmakers accountable to the public. O’Brien’s style helps him ask tough questions and get answers. “Corey O’Brien’s charisma and style make it easier to answer the tough questions,” commented one past guest. A viewer commented that, “Corey has a knack for asking the follow-up questions that I would have asked.” Past guests include Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, State Treasurer Bob Casey and many more.

In a short time, Corey O’Brien has developed a multimedia enterprise in Northeastern Pennsylvania encompassing television, radio, print media and billboards. Not only does O’Brien host and executive produce The Pulse but he also serves as the political analyst to the region’s most-watched television station, ABC-affiliate, WNEP-TV 16 and the most listened to news radio station, WILK News Radio. Corey O’Brien also hosts Corey O'Brien Now every Saturday at 1:00 p.m. on WILK News Radio.

In late 2006, Corey was named one of the Top 20 most influential people under the age of 40 in Northeastern Pennsylvania by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Business Journal.

You can see and listen to Corey O’Brien on The Pulse every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. on FOX and WILK News Radio. Corey lives in Moosic, Pennsylvania with his wife and two young children.
