Info | George was the first child of Gabriel and Anna. He was born on March 2, 1855 in Cincinnati. He attended St. Augustine school and public night schools. He worked as an aprentice in the upholstery field at the Robert Mitchel Furniture Company prior to relocating to Denver, Colorado in 1877. After stints working for 2 Denver furniture companies he started his own matress and upholstery shop "Kindel Bedding and Renovating Company". On May 1, 1883 at the age of 27 he married Minnie A. Danner of Cynthiana, Kentucky. They had three children. He was elected to the United States Congress in 1912 due to popularity gained from his work towards fair railroad express rates in the Denver area and served from 1913-1915. He died on February 28, 1930 in an auto accident brought on by a sudden illness.
