Description | Union of French-speaking social activists and parties from Flemish Brabant's "periphery" which emerged from the "Groupement des francophones de la Périphérie" ("French speakers from the periphery") launched in 1984. The group transformed into a four-party union in October 1994 in order to participate in elections held in the province of Brabant that year. Union is most active in the administrative district of Hal-Vilvoorde, where many French-speakers live. Party is led by four co-presidents and three vice presidents attached to the four parties [Union des francophones (UF)]. |
